Job summary

Serve Electric is seeking licensed industrial electricians for a long-term Iowa project, starting remotely based in Iowa with travel to sites. The role offers growth into Foreman, project leadership, and on-site supervision across industrial electrical installs and commissioning.

Ideal candidates have Journeyman/Master or Apprentice licensure, strong troubleshooting, and experience with 480V systems, motor controls, and NEC coding.

Qualifications

• Active, state-issued electrician license: Journeyman/Master or Apprentice, or reciprocal license.
• Demonstrated hands-on industrial electrical experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot without complete schematics or operator information.
• Proficient with 120V, 480V, and low voltage systems.
• Experience with motor controls, transformers, lighting, and switchboards.
• Knowledge of NEC code and blueprints/ drawings interpretation.
• Leadership qualities and interest in Foreman progression.

Responsibilities

• Direct electrical work on industrial sites with Foreman responsibilities.
• Lead and supervise crews on assigned job sites.
• Mentor apprentices and newer team members.
• Inspect installations for quality and code compliance.
• Uphold job site safety standards (PPE, OSHA, NEC).
• Troubleshoot electrical issues from start to finish, often without full schematics.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Size feeders and manage tooling; wire 120V and 480V systems.
• Communicate with customers, service manager, and team; plan projects.
