Job summary

Messer Construction Co. is seeking an Ironworker with Commercial/Industrial experience to join EGC Construction in Newport, KY. The role focuses on rigging, bolting, and assembling structural steel on commercial projects.

You will perform detailed steel work, welding, and operate the required tools while adhering to safety rules. Travel may be required, and a High School diploma is required; OSHA 10 is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Candidates must have transportation and good communication skills.
• Willing to travel.
• Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Rigging structural steel.
• Connect and bolt-up of structural steel.
• Detail work on structural steel, such as installation of bar joist, bridging, decking, and handrail.
• Welding of structural steel (stick welding) and rigging of equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow all safety rules and regulations associated with industrial steel industry.
• Using required tools to perform daily tasks as needed.
