Job summary

Top Talent LLC in Seymour, IN is seeking experienced Iron Workers for field erection of structural steel on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. You will read drawings, rig and signal cranes, install bolted connections, weld as needed, install decking and stairs, and ensure safety.

This role requires working at heights, knowledge of OSHA standards, and reliable transportation to job sites. Travel and per diem may be available on certain projects.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret structural/erection drawings.
• OSHA fall protection knowledge and steel erection standards.
• Journeyman Iron Worker card or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret erection plans to determine layout and sequence.
• Rig and signal crane operators for safe hoisting.
• Install and torque high-strength bolted connections per specs (AISC/RCSC).
• Welding as required (SMAW, FCAW).
• Install decking, handrails, stairs, ladders, and miscellaneous steel components.
• Maintain safe work platforms, perimeter protection, and fall arrest systems per OSHA.
