Crowder Construction Co. is hiring an Iron Worker to join our skilled trades team on civil and structural projects in the Southeast. The role focuses on raising, placing, and uniting girders, columns, and steel members to form complete structures.

You will operate hoisting equipment, align pieces, and ensure precision in assembly. We require at least four years of verifiable iron work experience, the ability to read drawings, and to travel as project needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Must have 4 years verifiable experience as an iron worker in industrial construction.
• Ability to read plans/drawings and visualize 3D structures.
• Ability to work with precise accuracy and meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up hoisting equipment to raise and place structural steel members.
• Fasten steel members using wires, slings, and lifting devices.
• Signal hoist operators and guide placements for alignment and bolting.
• Bolt, weld, and align members to form final structures.
• Cut and weld steel with oxyacetylene and carbon electrodes as needed.
