Job summary

Turner Industries Group LLC is seeking an Inventory Specialist for our Decatur, AL area. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products.

The role requires attention to inventory accuracy, adherence to safety protocols, and efficient warehouse operations. The position involves physical activity, lifting 30 to 50 pounds, and following Turner Industries policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must pass excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Post offer drug screen and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries, Ltd. Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Hazard Communication orientation/test
• Turner Industries Group LLC indoctrination
• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace

Responsibilities

• Stores, removes, loads and unloads all types of materials from storage bins, pallets and vehicles that cannot be handles by material handling devices; operates manual or mechanical devices and stocks inventory shelves; reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed; assorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, or color; moves materials and supplies from the warehouse and prepares for delivery; fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or stock items; records material items received or distributed; may maintain inventory records; performs routine housekeeping tasks to maintain work area; performs additional assignments as required.
• Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
