Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our team in the Decatur, AL area. The role provides receiving, storing and distributing material, tools, equipment and products to support plant operations.

The position requires strong communication and organizational skills and adherence to safety policies, with a focus on accurate inventory records and safe handling of materials.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Post offer drug screen and signed acceptance of Turner Industries, Ltd. Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test.
• Turner Industries Group LLC indoctrination.
• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87).
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to health or safety at the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Stores, removes, loads and unloads all types of materials from storage bins, pallets and vehicles; operates devices and stocks inventory shelves.
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
• Assorts and places materials on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, or color.
• Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or stock items; records material items received or distributed.

Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for an Inventory Specialist to join our Team in the Decatur, AL area. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products.

Functional Requirements:

Stores, removes, loads and unloads all types of materials from storage bins, pallets and vehicles that cannot be handles by material handling devices; operates manual or mechanical devices and stocks inventory shelves; reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved , gathered or distributed; assorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, or color; moves materials and supplies from the warehouse and prepares for delivery; fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or stock items; records material items received or distributed; may maintain inventory records; performs routine housekeeping tasks to maintain work area; performs additional assignments as required.

Compensation:

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
