Job summary

Turner Industries in Cantonment, FL is hiring a Material Handler to oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of production materials. You will perform loading/unloading, monitor transfers between tanks, vessels, and pipelines, and help with terminal maintenance to keep equipment in operating condition.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and at least one year in Materials or Operations, plus basic math and strong communication.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with terminal / distribution operations by performing loading and unloading activities.
• Monitor products transferred to and from tanks, vessels, or pipelines at terminal site.
• Assist with terminal maintenance duties as needed maintaining equipment in operating condition.
• Catch samples as per Standard Operating Procedure.
• Input information into electronic hand-held device which documents Standard Operating Procedure.
• Load trucks, railcars and unload raw materials from outside suppliers and intra-plant Units.
• Track mobile movement & spot railcars and tanker trailers.
• Assist customers and/or producers with any problems that may arise.
• Special assignment duties and call out as required.
• Subject to random DOT drug screening.

Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Material Handler to join our Team in the Cantonment, FL area. The material handler will be responsible for the physical receipt, storage, and distribution of production materials. This position will also require involvement in conducting physical inventories and count discrepancy resolution, management of non-conforming materials, and interface with purchasing and production departments regarding material issues.

Qualification Standards

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 100 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
