Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs in Forbes, MN (and Eveleth, MN) seeks an Electronic Instrumentation Technician to supervise electrical/electronic systems in mine and plant environments. Safety is of utmost importance; work may be in a shop or out in the field, with rotating shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Duties include inspecting, repairing, wiring, calibrating, testing, and adjusting instruments; installing control devices and power transmission components; and supporting 24-hour operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited electrical training or apprenticeship program.
• 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and wire electrical and electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltage in mine, plant, or assigned areas.
• Install, repair, calibrate, test, and adjust integrating, indicating, controlling, or graphic electrical, pneumatic, or mechanical instruments.
• Work schedules may vary to provide 24/7 coverage for the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.
