Job summary

WorkCare is seeking an Athletic Trainer to join our Raleigh, NC clinic. This full-time role offers a starting pay of $35 per hour and requires 3+ years of relevant experience in an industrial setting. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with up to 10% travel.

You will provide rapid first aid, coordinate with the Incident Intervention program, and support injury prevention through ergonomic methods. A CPR certification and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in an industrial setting preferred.
• Must hold CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid first aid and medical care for employees and emergencies when clinic is open within OSHA First Aid scope of practice.
• Coordinate care with WorkCare’s Incident Intervention Injury Management Program and physician escalation services.
• Provide episodic care for minor medical issues and medical recommendations with CMD collaboration.
• Engage in evidence-based practice and health promotion.
• Develop injury prevention techniques through ergonomic education and assessments.
• Modify interventions to progress employees as directed by the CMD.
• Maintain communication with WorkCare CMD and Supervisor regarding clinic issues and client requests.
• Support psychosocial strategies, EAP, and case management as needed.
• Develop job-specific agility routines and provide on-the-job coaching.
• Perform ergonomic assessments and participate in wellness initiatives.
• Obtain wellness data and provide checks (biometrics, BP, etc.).
• Facilitate use of company resources like fitness centers and health risk appraisals.
• Report to client and WorkCare management; ensure professional patient-centered care.
• Support medical surveillance exams as needed and feasible on-site.
