Job summary

Campbell Soup Company in Austin, TX is hiring an Ingredient & Food Materials Handler to help ensure a continuous supply of ingredients for high-quality products. You will follow recipes and production instructions, support packing and material handling, and help maintain food safety and GMP standards in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts are AM and PM; starting pay is $14.55–$15.30 per hour. You must be able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work with temperature variations and loud

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation activities following established recipes and production instructions.
• Support production operations through light assembly and packaging of food products.
• Ensure a continuous supply of components and ingredients to production lines.
• Handle ingredients and components in accordance with USDA, HACCP, GMP, and plant recipe guidelines.
• Operate pallet jacks and assist with material handling activities.
• Support receiving, inventory, warehousing, and stock replenishment functions.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas.
• Maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety requirements, Health & Safety regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor product quality and report any deviations, equipment issues, or process concerns to leadership.
• Follow product rotation requirements and USDA time/temperature guidelines.
• Return unused products to freezer or cooler locations and ensure proper identification and storage.
• Complete production line changeovers and sanitation activities as required.
• Inspect components during production and changeover processes to maintain quality standards.
• Utilize the facility’s color-coding system for containers, waste disposal, and product handling.
• Operate approved warehouse equipment (non-forklift) according to established procedures when needed.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, bending, reaching, heavy lifting, and repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment.

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)

• Previous experience in food manufacturing, food production, warehouse, or packaging environments.
• Experience operating pallet jacks or material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with inventory control, receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP principles, and food safety regulations.
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment with strict deadlines.
• Understanding of product rotation, sanitation requirements, and quality inspection processes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing job duties, team members work around moving machinery and are exposed to hot, cold, and refrigerated products, loud noise levels, and wet/slippery floors. Maintaining awareness of surroundings and following all safety procedures is essential.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
