Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking an Industrial Hygienist to join our Iselin, NJ office. This field-heavy role blends traditional industrial hygiene with building sciences, covering exposure monitoring, environmental sampling, and indoor environmental quality assessments across diverse project sites.

Responsibilities include personal exposure monitoring, sampling plan development, and data analysis, while mentoring staff and upholding safe work practices.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science/Engineering or related field.
• At least 2+ years of proven technical experience.
• Experience with exposure monitoring, noise dosimetry, asbestos, mold and lead sampling.
• Certifications in asbestos/lead/mold preferred.
• Additional EHS certifications or licenses are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal exposure monitoring and noise dosimetry.
• Assist in developing personal exposure sampling plans.
• Collect noise, water, air, and building materials samples.
• Analyze data and prepare draft technical reports.
• Provide mentorship and training to project staff.

Apex Companies is currently seeking an Industrial Hygienist to join our team out of our Iselin, NJ office. This is a field-heavy role that includes a blend of traditional industrial hygiene and building sciences work, with responsibilities spanning exposure monitoring, environmental sampling, and indoor environmental quality assessments across a variety of project sites.

What we're looking for:

• BA/BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science/Engineering or other related field;
• At least 2+ years of proven technical experience.
• Experience working with industrial hygiene (personal exposure monitoring/noise dosimetry, asbestos, mold and lead sampling.
• Asbestos, lead and/or mold inspector certifications, preferred.
• Additional EHS certifications/licensures or interest in pursuing additional qualifications highly desired.

Hourly Expected Pay Range

$30—$40 USD
