Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking an Industrial Hygienist for their Iselin, NJ office. This field-heavy role blends traditional industrial hygiene and building sciences, including exposure monitoring, environmental sampling, and IEQ assessments across diverse project sites.

You will conduct exposure monitoring and noise dosimetry, collect samples, analyze data, and mentor staff while advancing your career in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science/Engineering or related field.
• At least 2+ years of proven technical experience.
• Experience with industrial hygiene personal exposure monitoring, noise dosimetry, asbestos, mold and lead sampling.
• Asbestos, lead and/or mold inspector certifications preferred.
• Additional EHS certifications/licensures or interest in pursuing additional qualifications highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct personal exposure monitoring and noise dosimetry.
• Assist with development of personal exposure sampling plans.
• Collect noise, water, air, and/or building material samples.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
• Air Monitoring; Building Materials Sampling; Water Intrusion and Mold Assessments.
• Visible suspect biological growth assessments; Lead-Based Paint inspections; Clearance testing.
• Assist with project oversight; Mentor and train project staff.
• Actively develop your own career growth.

Hourly Expected Pay Range

$30 - $40 USD
