Job summary

Alta Environmental & Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join our Environmental, Health & Safety team. The IH will provide technical leadership and consulting services related to occupational health, industrial hygiene, exposure assessment, and regulatory compliance.

This position will work directly with clients to identify, evaluate, and control workplace health hazards while developing practical solutions that protect employees and support compliance with

Qualifications

• 2–10 years of experience in an Industrial Hygiene role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene or related technical field.
• Certification by ABIH/CIH is preferred but not required; candidate should be on path to IH certification.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 50%.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support plant leaders on Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics topics.
• Develop strategies for quantitative workplace assessment including sampling plans.
• Perform chemical air sampling, noise dosimetry, and hazard assessments.
• Conduct IH and Ergonomic risk assessments following industry standards.
• Prescribe control strategies such as ventilation, PPE, and work-practice changes.
• Develop and deliver industrial hygiene training programs.
• Develop and implement occupational health standards.
• Consult with managers and regulatory officials on findings and remediation.
• Analyze exposure data and injury statistics to inform decisions.
• Support EH&S audits and government inspections as needed.
