Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking an Industrial Hygienist – Scientist II to join our Iselin, NJ team.

This field-heavy role combines traditional industrial hygiene with building sciences across diverse project sites, focusing on exposure monitoring, sampling, and indoor environmental quality assessments. You’ll work on monitoring programs, data analysis, and project oversight while mentoring staff and developing your career growth.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science/Engineering or related field.
• At least 2+ years of proven technical experience in industrial hygiene.
• Experience with personal exposure monitoring, noise dosimetry, asbestos, mold and lead sampling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct personal exposure monitoring and noise dosimetry.
• Assist with development of exposure sampling plans.
• Collect noise, water, air, and building material samples; analyze and interpret data.

This is a field-heavy role that includes a blend of traditional industrial hygiene and building sciences work, with responsibilities spanning exposure monitoring, environmental sampling, and indoor environmental quality assessments across a variety of project sites.

Your Responsibilities as an Industrial Hygienist:

What we're looking for:

• BA/BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science/Engineering or other related field;
• At least 2+ years of proven technical experience.
• Experience working with industrial hygiene (personal exposure monitoring/noise dosimetry, asbestos, mold and lead sampling.
• Asbestos, lead and/or mold inspector certifications, preferred.
• Additional EHS certifications/licensures or interest in pursuing additional qualifications highly desired.

Annual Expected Pay Range

$65,000 - $80,000 USD
