Technical & Engineering Consulting LLC is seeking an Industrial Hygienist to provide IH and EHS support within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

You will identify, evaluate, and control health hazards while ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in IH or related field, and experience with exposure monitoring and cGMP standards; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in IH, EHS, or related field.
  • Experience performing IH assessments and exposure monitoring.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/NIOSH standards and cGMP.
  • Pharma/manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct IH assessments, workplace inspections, and exposure evaluations.
  • Perform exposure monitoring for chemicals, dust, and noise.
  • Evaluate PPE and respiratory protection programs.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend fixes.
  • Support SDS reviews and HazCom compliance.
  • Investigate exposure concerns, incidents, and near misses.
  • Perform risk assessments and JHAs; maintain records.

Job Summary

Technical & Engineering Consulting LLC is seeking a qualified Industrial Hygienist (IH) to provide industrial hygiene and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) support within a regulated pharmaceutical/cGMP manufacturing environment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and controlling occupational health hazards while supporting regulatory compliance, employee safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct industrial hygiene assessments, workplace inspections, and occupational exposure evaluations.
  • Perform exposure monitoring for chemicals, dust, noise, and other workplace hazards.
  • Evaluate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and respiratory protection programs.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support chemical safety programs, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) reviews, and Hazard Communication (HazCom) compliance.
  • Investigate occupational exposure concerns, safety incidents, and near misses.
  • Perform risk assessments, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and EHS inspections.
  • Coordinate indoor air quality assessments and industrial hygiene monitoring activities.
  • Support contractor safety programs and general site EHS initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate industrial hygiene records, technical reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Recommend, implement, and follow up on engineering, administrative, and PPE controls.
  • Deliver EHS/IH training and provide technical guidance to site personnel.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience performing industrial hygiene assessments and occupational exposure monitoring.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, NIOSH guidelines, and applicable occupational health standards.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with cGMP requirements and EHS compliance programs.
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation or progress toward certification.
  • Experience with respiratory protection, noise monitoring, chemical exposure assessments, and ergonomics.
  • Experience supporting EHS investigations, corrective actions, and regulatory inspections.
