Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health/Management or CIH certification.
  • 2+ years of experience in Industrial Hygiene, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI and ACGIH standards.
  • Knowledge of ventilation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, leads, and audits IH programs and policies in the US.
  • Conducts workplace monitoring and sampling to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manages annual IH surveys across all US locations with equipment, lab coordination, and reporting.
  • Interprets sampling data and compares to exposure limits (PEL, TLV, etc.).
  • Identifies controls to reduce exposure and assesses new materials for health threats.
  • Develops training for site EHS engineers and factory employees.

Job description

A leading global manufacturer is seeking a Corporate Industrial Hygienist to lead and enhance Industrial Hygiene programs across multiple U.S. manufacturing facilities. This high-impact corporate role offers the opportunity to work with diverse manufacturing processes, influence occupational health initiatives nationwide, and collaborates with EHS professionals across the organization - all with limited travel (approximately 10%) and excellent growth potential. Candidates with Industrial Hygiene experience in a manufacturing environment are encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions
  • Develops, implements, leads, and audits US IH programs and policies.
  • Determines sampling strategy and conducts workplace monitoring to meet regulatory requirements / guidance, to help ensure that their employees work in a safe environment.
  • Manages the annual IH surveys to be conducted at all their US locations directly by this position, including equipment management, lab coordinator, report writing and employee notifications.
  • Analyzes / interprets sampling data results and compares to establish exposure limits (i.e., PELs, Als, STELs, TLVs, etc.)
  • Identifies and recommends controls to reduce exposure levels to sampling analytes.
  • Assesses new materials coming into the manufacturing environment to determine potential health threats and ensures appropriate precautions are taken.
  • Maintains current understanding of material hazards, regulations and best practice.
  • Develops and conducts training / mentoring of core IH principles to site EHS engineers and factory employees as necessary.
  • All other duties assigned by manager.
Salary

$85,000 - $120,000

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health / Management, or Certification by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as a Certified Industrial Hygienist. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in Industrial Hygiene or related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI and ACGIH standards.
  • Knowledge of ventilation systems.
  • Effective communication skills and comfortability providing training for groups of employees and mentorship of IH compliance programs to EHS professionals.
