Job summary

Hexion is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Technician to support the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Center of Excellence. The role involves identifying, evaluating, and controlling occupational health hazards in chemical manufacturing and R&D labs.

Qualifications

• Experience with air monitoring in industrial settings.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to perform field and laboratory tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct personal and area air monitoring and sampling for process operators, maintenance personnel, laboratory employees, and contractors for chemical vapors, dusts, mists, and other airborne contaminants.
• Perform noise dosimetry, sound level measurements, heat stress monitoring, ventilation assessments, and ergonomic evaluations in manufacturing, warehouse, terminal, laboratory, and maintenance work areas.
• Utilize, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial hygiene sampling equipment and direct-reading instruments, including PID monitors, multi-gas meters, particulate monitors, sound level meters, and noise dosimeters.
• Spend significant field time
