Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) offers internship and co‑op opportunities to high‑performing college students who want meaningful hands‑on experiences. Interns work with professionals across Refining, Midstream, and Environmental Hygiene to support safety, health, and environmental goals.

On-site, 40 hours per week, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and be able to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Desired majors areOccupational Safety & Health; Safety Management; Public Health; Industrial Hygiene; Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability; Fire Protection & Safety; Other related fields.
• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree (or higher) for the duration of the internship experience.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Must be able to safely ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs and/or ladders, and lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver\'s license for work-related travel.
• Must be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms is preferred.
• MIN – $24.09 per hour / MAX – $35.96 per hour
