Job summary

Keystone Experts & Engineers, a national forensic engineering and building consulting firm, seeks a Senior Project Manager for Environmental services. The role supports projects identifying and managing hazardous materials and building science risks for clients across residential and commercial structures.

Remote work is standard with periodic travel; 1099 contract with temp-to-hire. You will lead projects, coordinate vendors, prepare budgets and reports, ensure on-time delivery, and mentor

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred; experience may compensate.
• 7+ years in relevant fields; PM role in Building Science/Industrial Hygiene ideal.
• 5+ years managing clients.
• Experience with qualifying and managing consultants and vendors.
• Experience with wildfire, asbestos, mold, lead paint and industrial hygiene projects.
• Strong written, verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fire and smoke impact, mold, asbestos, lead, IAQ and industrial hygiene projects from inception to completion.
• Manage vendors/contractors to sample, test, and document site conditions.
• Interact with clients and vendors to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
• Serve as technical expert on all projects and develop budgets/reports.
• Ensure projects meet deadlines and stay within budget; provide quality control.
• Provide leadership, training and support across the organization.
• Occasional off-hours and up to 20% travel; remote work arrangement.

Hourly wage based on experience, with immediate start available.

Overall Purpose/Objective

As the Senior Project Manager for our Environmental service line team, you will support projects that help clients identify, evaluate, and manage hazardous material and building science risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage fire and smoke impact, mold, asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, and industrial hygiene projects from inception to completion
• Implement technical requirements to complete client projects by overseeing vendors and contractors to sample, test and collect data and properly document site conditions
• Interact and communicate with clients and vendors.
• Act as technical expert on all projects
• Prepare budgets and reports
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Provide quality control for all assigned projects
• Provide leadership, training and support to all levels of the organization.
• Ability to occasionally work off-hours and weekends (10-20% of time).
• 100% remote with occasional business travel.

Qualifications/Experience Required

• Bachelor of Arts or Science degree preferred. Experience in lieu of degree considered.
• 7+ years relevant experience: at least 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Building Science/Industrial Hygiene field.
• At least 5 years experience in managing clients.
• Experience with qualifying and managing consultants and vendors
• Experience with wildfire, asbestos, mold, lead paint and industrial hygiene related projects
• Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent Technical Writing, Communication, and Organizational Skills.

• Decision making ability as to when to elevate issues and involve management

• This position operates in a remote capacity.
