Job summary

Raytheon is seeking an experienced Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Professional to support IH programs at the Andover, MA site. The role focuses on development of IH plans, exposure monitoring, and risk reduction across laboratory, manufacturing, and Semi‑Fab operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Industrial Hygiene and exposure monitoring.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain site-wide IH plans, exposure control strategies, and routine monitoring programs.
  • Conduct chemical approvals, industrial hygiene assessments including air sampling, noise monitoring, and ventilation evaluations.
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments for chemical, and physical hazards across laboratory, manufacturing, and Semi‑Fab operation.
  • Oversee Industrial Hygiene risks and controls to support operational ramp‑up in semi-conductor facility, ensuring exposure risks are identified, evaluated, and effectively managed
  • Manage IH data systems, exposure records, and reports; communicate findings to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary owner of the site’s toxic gas monitoring system, ensuring system reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness while partnering closely with contractors and operations to manage maintenance, calibration, and overall equipment performance.
  • Monitor system performance trends, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvements to detection reliability and response protocols.
  • Lead development, maintenance, and improvement of site emergency response plans, with emphasis on hazardous materials, toxic gases, and Semi‑Fab operational risks
  • Collaborate with EHS site leadership to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Take proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influence safe behaviors.
  • Work with site EHS IH Program owners to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company requirements.
  • Audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Position requires limited travel for participation in company seminars, EHS audits and training opportunities.
  • Must be willing and able to respond to emergencies after hours as needed on an infrequent basis
  • Effectively communicate through verbal, written, and presentation formats.
  • Must meet the requirements for hazardous materials medical surveillance and successfully complete fit testing for required respiratory protection.

Raytheon has an opportunity for an energetic, motivated, and self-directed Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Professional to support our ongoing sustainability, compliance, and risk reduction efforts at the Andover, MA site. This complex manufacturing site offers the EHS professional an opportunity to work with manufacturing and support teams to foster employee engagement, and drive risk reduction and continuous improvement of the EH&S program.

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Experience with IH data management tools and statistical analysis
  • Experience with gas detection systems
  • Emergency response experience (working with team to respond to and help troubleshoot alarms)
  • Experience in managing EH&S issues in a union work environment
  • Experience with Semi-Conductor Fabrication operations
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
