Job summary

We are seeking a Consulting Specialist – Industrial Hygiene to support project-based client work across the New York City metropolitan area, primarily for NYC School Construction Authority projects. The role emphasizes field IH work, asbestos surveys, and regulatory compliance with long-term licensure goals.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of IH/EHS experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), strong report-writing skills, and willingness to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IH/OHS or related field; master’s preferred
• 2–5 years in IH, EHS, or related environment
• Hands-on field assessments, sampling, monitoring or surveys
• Strong written and verbal communication; Word and Excel basics
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally
• Evening/weekend project support where needed

Responsibilities

• Support IH projects including air and noise monitoring and sampling strategies
• Assist with asbestos and hazardous building material surveys under licensed supervision
• Document IH field experience to support NYC licensure goals
• Conduct field inspections focusing on PPE, lockout/tagout, confined spaces
• Support hazard communication and client EHS programs
• Collect, interpret, and organize field data
• Prepare client-ready technical reports using Word
• Deliver in-person safety and regulatory training when needed
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery
• Travel to client sites in the NYC metro area
• Occasional evening or weekend project support
• Work independently and as part of a project team
