Job summary

Smith Industrial Services seeks an entry-level Technician 1 to perform general labor tasks associated with hydroblasting, vacuuming, and industrial cleaning services. The role involves hydro blasting work in outages, shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance scopes, with travel as needed.

Ideal candidates will complete required safety training, have reliable transportation, and demonstrate a safety-first, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic wet and dry vacuum truck operation & functions.
• Performs basic Hydroblasting Services, including Lance/Shotgun operation.
• Load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Performs manual tasks and assists others as needed.
• Clean vehicles, trucks, and equipment.
• Ensures that assigned tasks are performed safely with the highest level of quality.
• Reports potential issues or concerns to Crew Leader and/or Branch Manager.
• May periodically use computers for training purposes.
• Travel is required, sometimes for long periods, to perform this work.
