Job summary

Smith Industrial Services is seeking Technician 1 in our Industrial division. This entry‑level role performs general labor for hydroblasting, vacuuming and industrial cleaning during outages, shutdowns, turnarounds, and routine maintenance.

You will operate vacuum trucks and assist with safe, high‑quality work, load and unload gear, and follow PPE and safety protocols. Travel may be required. English communication and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Safety-first attitude and teamwork.
• Read, write, and communicate in English.
• Passing drug test, background, and motor vehicle checks.
• Reliable transportation and means of communication.
• One to two years of physical work in industrial or construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate wet and dry vacuum trucks.
• Perform hydroblasting services, including lance/shotgun operation.
• Load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Assist others and perform manual tasks as needed.
• Clean vehicles, trucks, and equipment.
• Ensure all tasks are performed safely and with the highest quality.
• Report potential issues to Crew Leader/Branch Manager.
• Attend safety and health training as required.
