Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic- Maintenance for our Clifton, NJ site. You’ll perform skilled mechanical and electrical work maintaining heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems, and support Siemens Energy Management Systems.

The role requires 5+ years of industrial experience, a valid NJ driver's license, and the ability to complete service calls, maintain records, and work with other trades in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years related industrial experience.
• Must have a valid NJ driver’s license to operate registered company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing, maintaining, regulating, and repairing HVAC/R equipment.
• Check and inspect installations and items of HVAC/r equipment like compressors, pumps, filters, bearings, belts, circuits, controls, piping.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems; repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment controls.
• Check and adjust temperatures of air conditioning systems and assist in changes to Siemen’s Energy Management Systems.
• Communicate maintenance and repair activities to HVAC mechanic and management.
• Maintain routine records related to maintenance and repair activities and close-out service calls in the software system.
