Harris Heating, Plumbing, Air & Electrical in Salem, NJ is seeking a dependable HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform routine preventative maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems. You will inspect, service, and educate homeowners on energy efficiency while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires basic knowledge of residential HVAC systems, strong troubleshooting and customer service skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Previous HVAC maintenance or related mechanical experience preferred (or trade school).
• Basic knowledge of residential heating and cooling systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• EPA Section 608 certification required
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems.
• Inspect, clean, and service HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs or improvements.
• Check system components, electrical connections, filters, thermostats, and refrigerant levels as appropriate.
• Educate customers on proper system maintenance and energy efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to recommend additional services when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete all required paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with homeowners.
• Follow all company safety procedures, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work vehicle.
