Overview

We are seeking an Industrial HVAC Technician to join our client’s team at their facility in Skokie, IL. This is a direct hire position, where you will be hired directly by the client, a manufacturer of confectionery products. The role involves conducting facilities maintenance on equipment and HVAC systems.

Typical Duties

• Reporting food safety and quality issues
• Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC, refrigeration systems, boilers, and air compressors
• Conducting boiler water treatment tests and checking HVAC equipment
• Performing routine preventative and corrective maintenance
• Communicating equipment issues to supervisors and maintaining a clean work area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least five years of experience with complex HVAC equipment
• EPA license for refrigerant systems and ability to read electrical schematics
• Ability to work overtime and weekends, and perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Good communication skills and basic HVAC knowledge
• Ability to operate shop equipment
