Job summary

Amentum is seeking an intermediate HVAC/R maintenance technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility HVAC and mechanical systems in an industrial and large commercial environment.

You will respond to work orders, maintain equipment, and ensure safety compliance while coordinating with site teams and clients. Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years HVAC/R maintenance experience in industrial/commercial environments.
• Ability to work in aerial lift or scissor lift up to 30 feet.
• Excellent verbal and written communications.
• Ability to pass pre-employment substance abuse test.
• Ability to obtain security access badge at the client location.
• Must be able to obtain facility credentials/authorization; US Citizenship or PR may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal operation of mechanical systems via routine inspections and maintenance.
• Identify and correct safety-related issues and evaluate potential equipment failures.
• Operate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ventilation equipment, pumps, chillers, AHUs, and related systems.
• Use building automation systems to monitor conditions and equipment operation.
• Provide expertise for efficient operation of HVAC systems.
• Recharge refrigerant, check for leaks, and ensure proper refrigerant cycling.
