Job summary

SC Johnson is seeking an HVAC Technician to maintain, repair, and install HVAC systems across a range of equipment including roof top air handlers, chillers, DX units, and steam systems. This is a first shift, 8-hour role with potential overtime to support site overhauls and preventative maintenance.

Ideal candidates hold EPA 608 Universal and Refrigerant licenses, have 5+ years in HVAC, and possess a Journeyman license or technical degree.

Qualifications

EPA 608 Universal license required.
Refrigerant license required.
5 years HVAC experience.
Journeyman license or technical degree in HVAC.
Technical certificates and certifications in HVAC trade.
Able to troubleshoot problems with refrigerant, electrical, and duct systems.
Willing and able to assist in pipefitting and fire suppression systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain, repair, and install HVAC equipment including air handlers, exhaust systems, chillers, DX units, steam and condensate systems, and water utilities.
Perform Preventative Maintenance plans and contribute to process improvements of equipment.
Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and maintain system records.
Make proper judgments on actions when equipment malfunctions and interventions are needed.
Work independently and in teams of varying sizes.
Demonstrate willingness to learn, teach others, and own aspects of the manufacturing process.
Rotate to different assignments and work schedules as needed.
