Job summary

Industrial HVAC & Facilities Operations in Florence, KY is seeking an Industrial HVAC Technician to join the Facilities Maintenance team. You will diagnose, service, and repair refrigerant-based HVAC systems including chillers, DX units, RTUs, and heat pumps, with emphasis on safety and EPA standards.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience servicing refrigerant-based HVAC systems.
• Proven troubleshooting experience with compressors, refrigerant circuits, and mechanical components.
• Working knowledge of HVAC electrical systems, low-voltage controls, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation; comfort using CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair refrigerant-based HVAC equipment including chillers, DX units, heat pumps, and rooftop units (RTUs).
• Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection, brazing, and compressor repairs in compliance with EPA and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot HVAC electrical components, low-voltage controls, sensors, and building automation devices.
• Support preventive maintenance by completing scheduled inspections, documenting findings, and tracking refrigerant usage.
• Assist with startups, functional testing, and commissioning support for new or upgraded equipment.
