Job summary

Vienna Beef in Chicago, IL, seeks a maintenance technician to support safe and efficient operation of refrigeration and processing equipment. Under moderate supervision you will monitor NH3 compressors, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration, boilers, and related systems; keep the workplace clean and safe.

You will use Mpulse CMMS to log work, coordinate repairs with outside contractors, plan parts, and ensure timely responses in a food-processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate & monitor Engine Room. (NH3 compressors)
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning Plant Heating & Refrigeration equipment
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on Refrigeration equipment
• Maintain plant Ammonia system, Heating & cooling Units
• Keeping your work area clean & perform other related duties as assigned
• Performs preventative & corrective maintenance as indicated by maintenance supervisor using CMMS software Mpulse
• Monitoring steam Boilers, Fire system, wastewater, air compressors & hot water system
• Trouble shooting mechanical and electrical failures in order resolve issues with various facility equipment
• Must have the ability to plan necessary repairs by ordering parts with the use of a parts manual
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor
• Work with outside contractors performing repairs or PM
