Job summary

The successful candidate will bring extensive industry experience, deep BAS/EMS knowledge, and the ability to design curricula, assess learners, and collaborate with field technicians.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of industry experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and controls, including 5+ years in technical training or instructional roles.
• Advanced knowledge of BAS/EMS platforms, digital and analog I/O, and HVAC/R control programming.
• Ability to deliver engaging instruction in classroom and lab environments.
• Proven success in designing and maintaining technical training programs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Technical Instruction: Lead classroom and hands-on training on commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, and building controls.
• Develop Training Programs: Design, update, and maintain curricula aligned with industry standards and operational needs.
• Lead Hands-On Learning: Facilitate lab-based instruction focusing on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and control programming.
• Adapt Instructional Methods: Tailor teaching to diverse learning styles and skill levels.
• Assess Learner Progress: Evaluate trainee performance through written assessments and practical exams.
• Collaborate with SMEs: Partner with internal experts to reflect current tools and best practices.
• Maintain Technical Currency: Stay current on HVAC/R technologies, refrigerants, and energy management platforms.
• Ensure Compliance: Adhere to regulatory, licensing, and safety requirements including EPA Section 608 and ASHRAE guidelines.
