Job summary

City Facilities Management (US) LLC is seeking an experienced Technical Trades Instructor to lead classroom and lab-based training in commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, and building controls in the Seattle area. You will design and update curricula, support diagnostic and programming activities, and collaborate with SMEs to reflect current technologies.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in HVAC/refrigeration with 5+ years in instructional roles, and a strong background in BAS/EMS platforms

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and controls.
5+ years in technical training or instructional roles.

Responsibilities

Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction focused on HVAC/R and building controls.
Develop, update and maintain technical training curricula aligned with industry standards.
Lead lab-based learning emphasizing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
Adapt instructional methods for diverse learning styles and skill levels.
Assess learner progress via written assessments, practical exams, and hands-on demonstrations.
Collaborate with internal SMEs to ensure current tools and practices are reflected.
Maintain currency on HVAC/R tech, refrigerants, energy standards, BAS/EMS, and programming.
Ensure training activities meet regulatory, licensing, and safety requirements (EPA 608, ASHRAE).
