Job summary

City FM in Seattle seeks an experienced HVAC/R Technical Trainer to lead classroom and hands-on instruction in commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, and building controls for Boeing facilities.

You will design and update technical training curricula, facilitate labs, and mentor technicians, applying BAS/EMS programming and digital/analog I/O knowledge.

This role requires up to 25% travel and a strong commitment to safety, regulatory compliance (EPA 608, ASHRAE), and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of industry experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and controls.
• 5+ years in technical training or instructional roles.
• Advanced knowledge of BAS/EMS platforms and HVAC/R control programming.
• Ability to deliver effective, engaging instruction in both classroom and lab environments.
• Travel up to 25% in support of training initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands-on training on HVAC systems and building controls.
• Develop and update training curricula aligned with industry standards.
• Lead lab-based diagnostics, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
• Adapt teaching methods for diverse learners.
• Assess learner progress with written and practical assessments.
• Collaborate with SMEs to ensure content reflects current tools and best practices.
• Maintain currency on HVAC/R technologies, refrigerants, and energy management.
• Ensure training complies with EPA Section 608 and ASHRAE guidelines.
