Job summary

Rittal is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician with HVAC experience to support on-site installations, maintenance, repairs, and training for climate control products in industrial settings. You will read service reports, coordinate activities with customers and sales, provide telephone support, and promote service contracts.

EPA refrigerant recovery certification and field-service experience are preferred; strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and MS Office proficiency are required to

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in air conditioner repair with EPA refrigerant recovery certification.
  • HVAC certification preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; proficient with electrical meters.
  • Experience repairing industrial recirculating chillers is a plus.
  • Previous field service experience is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel/Word).

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site customer support for climate control product installation, maintenance, repair, and service training.
  • Complete service reports and communicate with relevant people.
  • Coordinate field service activities with customer and local sales personnel.
  • Provide telephone technical support to customers and service partners.
  • Promote Service Contracts through customer interaction and communication.
  • Understand customer requirements and offer cost-effective Rittal solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
