Job summary

Wolverine Power Systems, Michigan’s premier Generac Industrial Energy distributor, seeks a generator service technician to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on EPSS equipment. You will handle repairs during normal and after-hour shifts and travel locally for service calls as part of an on-call rotation.

The role requires 4 years of EPSS servicing experience, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)
• Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC/DC circuitry, power generation, wiring diagrams
• Advanced knowledge of engine maintenance and troubleshooting of natural gas or diesel fuel systems
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair of generators during normal working hours and after hours
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report them and any other unusual situations to the service manager in a timely manner
• Stays current on NFPA and State regulations for EPSS
• Travel around local area for service calls, on-call rotation with 50% travel (25% overnight)
