Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a General Laborer for the Richmond, VA area to support maintenance and cleaning on the production floor and facility operations.

The role involves recycling program duties, trash and recycling handling, operating floor cleaning equipment, preparing cleaning solutions, and moving heavy items. The position offers 1st and 2nd shifts with training opportunities and potential full-time conversion.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in various cleaning techniques and procedures, including knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks to ensure high standards.
• Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing, repetitive movements, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors.
• Adherence to safety procedures and ability to work in different environments.

Responsibilities

• Part of the Recycling Program working with metals and woods.
• Gather and empty trash and recycling including pallets, cardboard, metal scrap, etc.
• Operate riding floor scrubbers, vacuums, sweepers, and carpet extractors.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or using hand trucks.
