Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a General Laborer to perform various labor-intensive tasks in an industrial setting under the direction of a supervisor or foreman. You may operate hand and power tools, help prepare sites, dig trenches, and assist other craft workers.

You will maintain a clean job site, lift heavy objects, and follow safety procedures, with opportunities to learn on the job. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirements.
• State ID required.
• 6+ months of experience in an industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of labor-intensive tasks in an industrial setting under the direction of a supervisor or foreman.
• May operate a variety of hand and power tools and assist other craft workers.
• May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces, erect scaffolding, and remove waste materials.
• Load and unload trucks, haul and hoist materials, and maintain a clean job site.
• Follow safety procedures, report hazards, and communicate with Foreman or Safety personnel.
• Lift heavy objects, work long periods in heat, and understand written and oral instructions.
• Attend to attendance schedule and other duties as assigned.
