Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE - USA is seeking an in-house technician to service and repair industrial gears, focusing on reducers. The role requires a mechanical technical degree or equivalent experience, reads blueprints, and performs inspections, assembly, and testing of gear drives and motors.

The position offers are $20–$23 per hour with 2nd/3rd shift premiums. Full-time benefits begin day one, including medical, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, PTO, holidays, and more.

Qualifications

• Mechanical degree or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude to assemble gear drives and motors.
• Ability to use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure quality.
• On-site and in-field service capability for SEW-EURODRIVE IG products.

Responsibilities

• Perform disassembly, assembly and testing of power transmission products.
• Generate list of parts for replacement and reports of inspections.
• Use measurement tools to ensure parts are within specifications.
• Test Electric Motors and Control Instrumentation (e.g., pressure, flow, temperature).
• Perform and coordinate service on SEW-EURODRIVE IG products on site and in the field.
