Job summary

Nippon Sanso Matheson seeks an experienced sales professional to sell products to business and industrial establishments and individuals at a sales office, showroom, or customer sites.

You will travel within the assigned territory to call on customers, demonstrate products, quote prices, and process sales contracts, while building long-term relationships with purchasing contacts and providing solutions for welding needs.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years in Industrial Sales, gases/welding supply.
• Proven sales and account management experience.
• Profit and loss analysis and understanding margins.
• Experience making sales presentations and demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
• Travels throughout territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.
• Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer based on production and delivery schedules.
• Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
• Works with inside sales and route sales representatives to keep account activities current.
• Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems with welding processes, equipment and deliveries.
• Attends trade shows.
• Performs inside sales when needed.
• Assists with semi-annual inventories.
• Assists co-workers and customers with technical welding questions.
• Assists in collecting outstanding account balances.
