Job summary

Airgas is seeking a Plant Service Technician in Tampa, FL to maintain and repair gas systems, support filling processes, and ensure safe plant operations. The role requires hands-on work with pumps, storage systems, and electrical controls, plus the ability to read technical drawings and perform basic calculations.

Qualified candidates may have experience with high-pressure gas systems, a high school diploma, and forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with high/low-pressure gas systems maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings and perform calculations.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair high/low-pressure pumps and gas systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical systems (motor controls, relays, alarms).
• Perform preventative maintenance on gas equipment.
• Install and modify gas storage and delivery systems.
• Support filling processes and equipment maintenance.
• Organize and maintain spare parts inventory.
• Ensure safety compliance and follow procedures; provide technical support to plant operations.
• Operate forklifts and assist with housekeeping.
