Job summary

Southeastern Container, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to support manufacturing and warehouse operations at our facility in North Carolina.

The role involves safe operation of forklifts, moving bottles, preforms and packaging materials, and ensuring accurate inventory and shipping documentation. Candidates must pass powered industrial truck training, meet physical requirements, and be able to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education or relevant work experience preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete powered industrial truck training, evaluation, and certification before independent operation.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks and related material-handling equipment in a manufacturing and warehouse environment after training.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal safety instructions, traffic-control rules, work procedures, product labels, and shipping documentation.
• Basic math skills and the ability to accurately complete inventory, production, scanning, and shipping transactions.
• Ability to identify hazards, maintain pedestrian awareness, and promptly report unsafe conditions, near misses, injuries, product damage, and equipment concerns.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Move finished goods, bottles, raw materials, and packaging materials as required.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory-verification activities.
• Load and unload trailers in accordance with procedures and maintain proper storage of inventory.
• Inspect and report unsafe equipment or conditions; follow safety policies and PPE rules.
• Support production flow and shipping accuracy through reliable material handling.
