Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a hands-on Material Handler/ forklift operator for our Pelzer, SC plant. The role focuses on operating large forklifts (15K-35K) and/or overhead cranes to move parts with the shipping and production teams, read blueprints, and use hand tools and torque wrenches.

Candidates should be mechanically inclined, able to lift 50+ lbs safely, and comfortable working overtime in a non-climate-controlled environment with large fans.

Qualifications

• Experience operating large forklifts (15K-35K) or overhead cranes.
• Must be mechanically inclined with familiarity with chain hoists and slings.
• Able to read blueprints and use hand tools and torque wrenches.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs safely and consistently.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and possibly overhead crane safely in a production setting.
• Coordinate with shipping and production to move parts as needed.
• Read blueprints and use hand tools and torque wrenches.
• Lift 50+ lbs consistently; troubleshoot as needed.
• Document/report production quality requirements and gaps.
