Qualifications

• Entry level position; prior experience may be preferred.
• Must communicate effectively and accurately with employees and customers.
• Must pass Confined Space Entry training.
• Must complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as Fire Watch, Hole Watch or Bottle Watch.
• Watch for fire hazards in the workplace while others work.
• Maintain conditions stated on the safety permit.
• Keep flammable materials from ignition sources.
• In an emergency, follow protocol and alert others.
• Call 911 or emergency alarm as needed.
• Stop operations if hazardous conditions are found.
• Maintain constant communication with supervision.
• Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers and hydrants.
• Stay on the jobsite while work is ongoing.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective action.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervision.
