Job summary

Southern Arkansas University in Durham is seeking a Final Assembly Technician to join a leading manufacturer of industrial electrical equipment. You will handle final assembly, inspection, and preparation of large electrical enclosures, generator systems, and switchgear prior to shipment.

You will use hand and power tools, read blueprints and work instructions, and ensure quality while maintaining a safe workspace. Monday–Friday with OT as needed; shifts 6am–4:30pm and 3:30pm–12pm.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience required.
• Experience with large industrial equipment or generator systems preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform final assembly of mechanical and electrical components on industrial equipment.
• Install panels, hardware, wiring, and electrical assemblies according to work instructions and blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks.
• Inspect completed units to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as needed.
• Assist with testing, labeling, and preparing products for shipment.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
