Job summary

Peace River Citrus Products in Bartow, FL is seeking an Industrial Facilities Technician to safely operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration, boiler/steam, RO water systems, and plant utility equipment. You will work with electrical systems up to 460 VAC, read schematics, and coordinate CMMS documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in industrial ammonia refrigeration, and the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and holidays,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience preferred.
• Industrial maintenance experience with boilers/steam, RO water treatment, compressed air, pumps, motors, and electrical systems is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 460 VAC; PLC and controls experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, electrical schematics, manuals and procedures.
• Ability to recognize abnormal conditions and signs of developing issues.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in temperature extremes and high-noise environments.
• Ability to read/write English and work rotating shifts including nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot the industrial ammonia refrigeration system and related equipment.
• Operate and maintain boiler and steam systems, condensate systems, pumps, valves, and related controls.
• Monitor boiler conditions and water treatment parameters; take corrective action as needed.
• Operate and troubleshoot RO water systems, pretreatment, filters, membranes, and pumps.
• Monitor RO performance and perform routine maintenance or coordinate service.
• Operate plant compressed air systems and related equipment.
• Inspect HVAC/ventilation and other mechanical utility equipment.
• Use HMIs and software to monitor facility utility systems.
• Troubleshoot motors, pumps, valves, electrical controls, and power distribution up to 460 VAC.
• Assist with restoration after outages; document readings and operations in CMMS.
• Identify deficiencies and initiate corrective work before failures occur.
