Powell Industries is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Northlake, IL to perform emergency and preventative maintenance across HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems. You will read electrical schematics and piping diagrams, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment, and research parts and drawings as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years experience in a facilities maintenance group.
• Experience with CMMS.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality system.
• Must have basic English written and verbal skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and preventative maintenance on facility systems.
• Assist manufacturing technicians with process and machinery repairs and improvements.
• Maintain and repair HVAC equipment, electrical systems and mechanical devices.
• Work safely by following policies in an industrial environment.
