Job summary

Ms Companies, LLC in Indiana relies on skilled maintenance technicians to keep equipment running. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will handle electrical, mechanical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and minimize downtime.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and outside contractors while supporting 2nd or 3rd shift schedules.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
EPA Universal Refrigerant certification, or Type 2 or Type 3 certification; certification may be obtained within the first 30 days.
Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience.
PLC troubleshooting experience.
Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
Experience troubleshooting 24 VDC discrete I/O.
Preventive maintenance experience.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work the assigned 2nd or 3rd shift schedule.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, 24 VDC controls, and mechanical systems.
Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance activities.
Repair and improve facility systems, building structures, and grounds.
Maintain material-handling and auxiliary equipment to support production.
Document completed repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
Partner with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and outside contractors.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all required PPE and safety procedures.
Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
