100Hires, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Facilities Maintenance Specialist to maintain and repair plant systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support operations as the alternate Coolant Technician.

This role includes supervising janitorial staff, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring environmental and safety programs are followed. The position runs on a first shift, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years in facilities, general maintenance, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical and tool-room familiarity.
• Forklift or man-lift experience is preferred.
• Storm Water Operator Certification is required or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facility systems (plumbing, heating/cooling, general repairs) to ensure a safe, reliable workplace.
• Execute and assist with preventive maintenance on plant equipment such as floor scrubbers, forklifts, and conveyors.
• Provide operations support as the alternate Coolant Technician and assist Shipping/Receiving when needed.
• Keep external and sensitive areas clean and orderly (parking lots, cold storage, chemical storage).
• Lead, train, and manage janitorial staff; track and replenish cleaning supplies inventory.
• Serve as primary liaison with oil, coolant, and recycling vendors.
• Administer Storm Water Operator and Great Lakes Water Authority requirements; follow recycling and safety programs (lockout/tagout).
• Support compliance with Quality and Environmental systems, including ISO 14001.

Industrial Facilities Maintenance SpecialistYour day, simplifiedStart your first-shift morning on-site at 6:00 AM. You’ll walk the floor, check building systems, and line up preventive maintenance so production can run smoothly. Through the day, you’ll troubleshoot plumbing or HVAC issues, service floor scrubbers, forklifts, and conveyors, and jump in as the alternate Coolant Technician when needed. You’ll coach janitorial team members, keep cleaning supplies stocked, and coordinate with oil, coolant, and recycling vendors. Along the way, you’ll uphold recycling and safety programs (including lockout/tagout) and manage Storm Water Operator and Great Lakes Water Authority responsibilities to support our ISO 14001 environmental commitments.
