Job summary

GFL Environmental is looking for an Industrial Fabricator in Byron Center, MI to fabricate finished goods using PVC high-temperature air welders and industrial cutting tools. This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive hourly wage of $19-$21 and a benefits package.

We are willing to train the right candidate and support growth. The role involves reading blueprints, operating tools, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace while contributing to sustainable solutions for our customers

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Proficient use of hand tools and precise measurements with a tape measure.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively alone.
• Strong math skills (addition/subtraction).
• Ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required by customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and daily production plans.
• Utilize PVC and fiberglass materials to fabricate finished goods.
• Operate industrial cutting tools, machines and PVC welders daily.
• Operate a forklift to move materials and finished products safely.
• Perform basic math calculations for material measurements and production tracking.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

GFL Environmental is looking for an Industrial Fabricator to join our team in Byron Center, MI. This role is responsible for fabricating finished goods using industrial cutting tools, machines, and PVC high-temperature air welders. Compensation range is $19-21/hr. Full-time permanent position with benefit package.

Key Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and daily production plans provided by the Product Manager.
• Utilize rolls of purchased PVC and Fiberglass materials to fabricate into finished goods.
• Operate industrial cutting tools, machines, and PVC high-temperature air welders on a daily basis.
• Operate a forklift to move materials and finished products safely.
• Perform basic math calculations (adding and subtracting) for material measurements and production tracking.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
