Job summary

The Dixon Valve & Coupling Company LLC is seeking an Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician to support Chestertown, MD operations. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and rapid troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to maximize uptime and safety.

You’ll work with a veteran-friendly team, benefit from training opportunities, and enjoy a full-time, on-site role with a 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM shift and a pay range of $30–$35 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 5–10 years of CNC operation, manufacturing or industrial maintenance required.
• Deep understanding of machinery: gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, wiring diagrams, sensors, PLCs.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics for layout and repair.
• OSHA/Loto/Confined space/PPE knowledge and safe work practices.
• Experience with welding processes and rigging techniques.

Responsibilities

• Maintains operational ability of equipment through routine maintenance checklists.
• Maintains industrial machinery using hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools.
• Moves, assembles, installs or dismantles machinery.
• Interprets schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches.
• Analyzes plans for new equipment and maps out space to unpack and assemble.
• Troubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn parts as necessary.
• May use forklifts, aerial lifters, and cranes to move heavy machinery.
• May perform welding, fabrication, or calibration as needed.
• Follows all work site safety requirements and regulations.
• May perform recycling duties in accordance with established processes.
